Sorry Mom, Dad...

For all this time I have tried to behave maturely, to let you know that I am now a big girl. I am able to spend years overseas and come back in one healthy complete piece. It has now gone to the drain. With this kitchen burning accident, I am back to zero. Sis now calls when I am home alone which ends with, "be careful at home", which could easily be translated into, "please don't burn anything else". The truth is now I don't even have a stove to start burning. LOL!

It has been a traumatizing time these past few days, when I mean burn, it isn't a slight light up fire. Looking at the pictures still brings chills down my spine. The house still smelt burnt and passing the burnt kitchen is like being shadowed by a ghost, burnt ghost!

Mom and Dad worried for me, for my injuries, which is considered lucky judging by the aftermath of my kitchen. Mom said she couldn't sleep, thinking how terrified I must be when I tried to put out the fire, all on my own. It saddened me that at this age, I have to make my parents worried all over again.

The greatest thing of all is that not a single time they blamed me, not a harsh word being thrown at me, not even from BIL. Now I see how great a man he is. He religiously cleaned up the mess, MY mess, worked out the renovations and yet not a single time he scolded me. The renovation for the whole kitchen will cost at least a 4K, and insurance covered only 1/3, I don't even know how it worked out that way. Can you imagine? Out of nowhere, he forked out 4K and he didn't even bloody complain.
