A new unstoppable addiction...

Online auction.

Don't remember how and who added me into that auction site and before I knew it, I was hooked. I crashed and burn in that auction site. Man....
Well, ever since the Pawglam episode, I really despised local designers. Well, not all, but you get the gist. Or rather I should say, I avoid local designers. They should learn to be humble and most of all, learn to love their designs. I met the nicest designers across the ocean at US and apparently dug up all the contacts I (miraculously) kept back from OZ time. Wonder how I had those and lost April's birth cert from her breeder. Ugh..!!
I learned to fall in love all over again with April's clothes. After throwing away a whole wardrobe of winter clothing when we moved here, I vowed never to buy anymore. Since the standard of clothes over here is simply rub to the bish! Even going all the way to BKK, I only bought pathetic 2 pieces, which are so-so, and I bought them simply because I just can't leave BKK empty handed.
Have always loved laces and tutus, bought many many of them already. LOL... somebody help!!

This was bought in BKK!! Love it, but somehow got a little hole on it, it's an eyesore!!!

Just came in after almost a month!! Missent to Thailand, can you believe that???

One of the dresses, haven't got around to wear the rest yet as Mom was here. Afraid she will take away my Card for shopping non stop...  Though this is definitely a favorite!!

Bye bye $$$

I swear I need to get off online shopping!!!
I have been shopping for April from US non stop, I can't even remember what I bought, when I bought or what hasn't arrived!
The money inside the bank accounts seems not money, just numbers that kept on disappearing. LOL!
Help!!

PawGlam Collar Episode

Those who know me will know that I am a very reasonable person when I buy things. I have always been willing to compromise as I believe in this word; Karma, strongly. My parents are in the service business, I don't want my Karma goes to them being treated badly instead. Thus, it takes a lot and I mean a lot, for my patience to run dry. I felt so disappointed and cheated by this purchase of PawGlam Collar. Bought two from them previously and I know what quality I expected from them. It's not easy to irk me, yet when it does, it does me bad.

Summary: Item bought and worn twice, when the lace frayed, Pawglam refused to fix it. Well, not refused, but agreed to fix at $20. When the new piece was bought at $32.90. Worse, a friend who bought the same piece experienced the same faulty lace too. Yeah well, Pawglam blatantly refused to take responsibility, saying it isn't their fault the lace is not a better quality. At the end, they gave a pathetic 15% discount for next purchase.

UPDATE LATER THAT NIGHT: Pawglam after much pestering from my friend, who of course, more stubborn than me said that they will do a one to one exchange. That, too after a very much pestering that they insincerely proposed the idea. Probably after they checked their faulty lace. Anyway, I refused the offer and will continue to hate them. FYI, they didn't call up or message me to offer the exchange/ fixing, but asked through my friend. Sincere? Very!

UPDATE LATER LATER NEXT WEEK: Pawglam didn't do a one to one exchange to my friend. They replaced the lace part to something uglier. Sigh...

Full encounter below:

Bought this pretty piece from them $32.90. Bought I think Mid May or whatever I don't remember, but I took it out on 24th May to visit Daddy at MBS. Worn first time. It was a pretty light outing, a little walk here and there.

Second time worn just yesterday for an outing at a friend's place, well April did not play and stayed in my lap the whole bloody night. When I got home, I took out her collar to find a  badly frayed corner. I thought April might have scratched it, so I tested to pull a little on its rim to test its strength. Yea, no strength needed, just a tug and it's all gone to pieces. Sucks to the max! If it were strong and I know April might have accidentally scratched it, I WILL pay the fixing fee, and my message would be honestly this, "Hi, April has accidentally scratched this, can you help me fix it, I don't mind topping some $$." With a quality like this, no way...

So, the message goes as attached below, word for word.

Uh.. so what if it was a gift, although it wasn't, but it's not nice to put things that way. Felt a little offended, but maybe I shouldn't be too sensitive, I thought. So I let it go.
Not a person to end things on a bad note, I ended it nicely, albeit sarcastically. Don't know if she is trying to match my sarcasm with the reply below. Can't she tell I'm ending my business with them here?

Upset, I took things onto my own hands, I cut the bottom part off, in tears, mind you.
I love my things and I have feelings for them =(

Thought gonna just shut up and let it go when my friend Lydia bought the same piece as me and got the same problem, too. Same problem, same answer!!!! Obviously something is wrong with your craftmanshipppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO a recall on this design, omg...

Allright, some also say that I am cheapo, yeah whatever, would I cheat a $20. Me lehhhh... meeee.....!!!
I sent her this on March and I understand that wearing off is a norm, didn't kick a fuss when she said she doesn't recondition. I understand... Even when the collar compared to the one I bought years go from Bangkok and worn to beach and rough plays hasn't worn off yet, still questionably awful. Yet, I understand and bought another one from her.

Now, you tell me, what kind of service is this? Am I being demanding and unreasonable here?

Seriously, people....

I had the most annoying conversation with somebody a few days back. I was talking to some friends about pets, the demise of pets, so on and so forth. How it is going to be so painful when the time comes to say goodbye. Then this bitch pulled a chair in and sat by my side, with just a sentence, "It's just a dog, get over it!". The time seemed to freeze at that moment she said that, I can still remember hearing her slurping her finished Coke from the cup noisily, a small gust of wind as the rest of my friends leaned back unconsciously to their seats. I can remember feeling that nerve tick on my head and I gritted my teeth before I said, "You know, saying it's just a dog who died to me is the same as saying it's just your daughter who died, get over it!", she stunned with her eyes wide open and I continued, "So why can't you just give birth to another daughter and rename her the same name as your current one?". Tell me if I am over sensitive, nobody has the right to say whose whom is just a whom, don't be so cocky to think that only your people is important.

Anyway, I think she got what I meant when she actually apologized and acknowledged that she has blurted things out before thinking. This post is meant to all of you who think a pet is just a pet. My pets mean the same thing to me as my family. A part of me will be lost, too if I lost them. Get it?

Taking turn

Brought Zelene down for a grooming at Fur N Away last weekend. Been quite some time since I brought her for grooming. She is now 8 years old, still as well behaved as ever, probably the best behaved Shihtzhu around, though the haughtiness of this breed forever still exists. Sometimes she scared the elders at home with slight oldies sickness, but turns out to be nothing when brought to the vet. She is so amazingly quiet that even the kids are not interested on disturbing her, cos she is so compliant and docile. Unlike April who shouts and bites, apparently there is their excitement.

Looks so much younger and cuter after grooming.

Praying...

For those who own dogs, they WILL know what it feels like when their kiddos fell sick. We WILL notice the slightest bit of change in them. I have always said that I want to get another dog to accompany April, but I'm simply afraid I don't have the time for two. My Indo cousins always said it's easy to keep dogs, yeah, well, if the way to keep dogs like them definitely is easy. Not for us, we take care of them, from food to poo, to make sure there isn't a tangle in their coat.

When they fall sick, it will be the greatest blow. It sends chill down my spine, that like human, our far much more innocent kiddos are not immune to sickness. Worse still, they cannot speak and tell us which part of their body is painful, they can't even cry like babies. How hopeless it felt like.

Dear girl, I hope everything is just a really bad scare. Hope your little boy will get back to his cheeky cheerful moments. Keep praying and have faith.

All about babyyyyy

Been working full time on the day and partying after work. Felt tad guilty leaving April at home. Today had the chance to bath her on my own, finally... I haven't personally bath her since I came back from CNY holiday. Phew... She always gets very hyper after bath, probably thinks she is clean and fresh. If I bring her out after bathing, she will scream and shout at everyone, running like a horse, so OMG. Even now as I'm blogging, she is bugging and scratching my arm, asking me to playyy....

Anyway, took pics today!
Tadahhh.... *Off to toss some toys...

Muackssss!

Finally...

Had the time to bring April grooming. Thought this time since she has no matts, I am able to keep her hair longer. Brought her to Fur N Away, I find myself drawn in to this place somehow somewhat. I love its nice and clean environment, I feel more at ease. Anyway, Alex suggested to keep April's hair short, as she has flyaway hair, messier even when it's long. I agreed, but I said I want some styling.

April comes back smelling heavenly and she got a summer I don't know what cut. Looks pretty much like a Schnauzer cut to me. Suits her well.

Realised that this poor baby has slimmed down during boarding, despite her finishing the whole box of kibbles I prepared. I can feel her ribs, and no more sexy butt for now.

Look Ma!!

NO MATTS!!!! A little yes, but very minimal, nothing that a 10 minutes brush can't handle. My boarder has done a great job. Finally, someone is able to fully take care of DA BITCH! At least, I don't have to watch her being shaved again. Hehehehe... The minute she came home, she ran to me and seconds later ran inside, must be looking for the rest of the family.

By the way, April turned 6 last 15th February. I wasn't here with her, again. Happy belated birthday darling. Thank you for the amazing time I have with you. This love I have for you is increasing each day as you stay with me, for 6 years and many more years counting. Love ya!

Takes a few days for her smile to be back
She loves cosying up with the snake nowadays

My Santa~

I got a Christmas present, a Santa, my very own Santa!

Sis high school friend came for a visit and he was sort of my *ahem* childhood crush. How not, when he was a suave young guy, handsome and oh so cute. He used to own many many well trained dogs, apparently he was a natural at it. Unsurprisingly, he is a well known show dogs breeder in Jakarta. His puppies fetched high prices up to tens of thousands dollars. This very moment, he owned more than 20 puppies of CHH. Even his wife, who wasn't much of a dog lover, is now a show dog groomer. Alas, he himself, with age, no longer that great looking, apparently guys turned into a Doraemon after marriage... Sigh~

He and his wife is like this walking dog dictionary. I really learned a lot from them within our short conversations. He is even more eager than me to go to Pasir Ris. Lol! Seriously, he is like my Santa. So far, not one outside my kiddos gang has that much enthusiasm to dogs than myself. Ahh~

Da babe

3 days worth of matts!!! I brushed her from 10pm all the way to 1am. Hehehehe... I board her at Daniel's place instead, since they are home boarders in the first place. Though they aren't able to brush April's hair, but April seems to be happy there. When Edmund brought her home, she actually followed him to the lift. Luckily it's only 3 days, otherwise her matts will be unresolvable. Anyway she is time for grooming, wanted to bring her for puppy cut, wanted a puppy cut for her coming photo shoot.

Mom bought April a new bed from Jakarta, a surprise for me. She reckoned April will feel safer in a more covered bed. She took to it well, I don't even have to tell her it's HER bed and she immediately jumped in to sleep the minute I took it out.. Hmm... Still pretty curious how she would know things like thatt...

Hollaaaa....

Just realised that it has been sooo long since I last checked in. Work life has been great, always been great and let's hope it will always be great. Must be due to not enough rest, I have been getting almost sick everyday for the past month, cough cough, sneeze sneeze... haizzzz... I just need to pump myself up with vitamins to get me through the days, really didn't feel like getting MC. Be damned, 24 hours is definitely not enough.

Aw... I will be getting back home on the 13th Nov!! April will be with Marcus and I requested for him to bring her back home with him. Insisting on 24 hours supervision! Price is a bit ouchy, but what the hell, rather than her traumatising anybody else. Hehehehe... Right??? Righttttt??? If everything goes well, April will be with him for CNY, too... Seems like a great guy who genuinely love the kiddos, well I feel comfortably at ease meeting him the first time.

That's for now... Chiao...

OOhhhh...

Clubpets cover page competition is on again. Probably will be bringing April down again for her photoshoot. Fingers crossed, if I am not lazy to bring her all the way down to east coast road. Then she can actually have a yearly studio taken pictures. Trying to take more pictures of her, so at least I won't be such a psychotic for wanting to preserve her when she is gone (ouch, so sad). Oh oh oh, then I can make another bag with it, too... muahhhahaha....

Didn't realise that it has been so long since the pictures are taken. Hopefully this time around, we are able to capture a cheekier and more playful side of her, since she is a really much happier girl now. Anyway, stay tune!

My crazy girl........

Sis called me at work this morning and she was screaming for me to get home ASAP. Apparently, she came back from the market to find that April has poop-ed behind the door and stepped on it. Her mess was all over the house and worse still when they open the door, the poop was squashed under the door gap. My girl had poo on her 4 paws, so instead of cleaning her, Sis locked her inside the cage until I get home to bath her. This means that she urgently need to release her excess energy, LOL!

Also, Willy just bought a new DSLR and asked if he can 'borrow' April tomorrow for an outdoor shooting at Botanic garden. I thought to let him bring April out, but I took back my words, seriously shouldn't take the risk at all. Willy was mumbling that April is just a 2.5 kg 'object', how difficult is it to handle her. He just never know, he only met April when she is with me. This little angelic 2.5 kg baby has a gut that even German Shepherd can't beat. She listens to me and only me, her badly bullied MOMMY! Willy is also the typical take-it-easy guy, God knows if he got the nerve to unleash April in the park. She WILL run away if she isn't with me and I will cry blood if it happens. As a conclusion, April will only go out with Mommy only.

P.S. Thought to put some pics in, but Blogger still sucky in Firefox. Haiz..

The culprit~ in jail, nonetheless.
